The Arizona Cardinals may have added the top wide receiver in the 2024 NFL Draft in Marvin Harrison Jr, but they may not be done adding pass catchers either.
According to Bleacher Report via ProFootballTalk, the Cardinals are hosting free agent wide receiver Zay Jones for a visit. Jones spent the last two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars and played for the Las Vegas Raiders and Buffalo Bills before that.
Jones put up some of his best numbers during his two years in Jacksonville, with his 2022 season serving as his best as a pro. That year he had 82 receptions for 823 yards and five touchdowns – all career-highs – and even had another 13 receptions for 152 yards and a touchdown in the postseason that year.
This past year was a little less impressive as Jones was limited to just nine games for the Jaguars. He had 34 receptions for 321 yards and two touchdowns.
But that might not matter to the Cardinals, who don’t exactly have a murderer’s row of wide receivers right now. Their receiving corps right now consists of Harrison, Greg Dortch, Michael Wilson, Zach Pascal, Chris Moore and rookie Tejhaun Palmer on top of the players they’re bringing in to training camp.
Will Zay Jones get a contract with the Cardinals? Would he be a good addition to the Cardinals?
