The Arizona Cardinals did not make the playoffs this season, but come of their former players did.
The NFL playoffs continue Monday with the final game of the wild card round. The Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams play one another. The game was supposed to be played in L.A. but was moved to Arizona at State Farm Stadium. Between the two teams on their rosters and practice squads, there are four former Cardinals.

Former Cardinals players on Minnesota Vikings
- DL Jonathan Bullard
Bullard has played three seasons for the Vikings. He played for the Cardinals in 2019 for nine games before an injury ended his season. He was a bright spot on the defensive line that season.
- CB Byron Murphy Jr.
Murphy was the Cardinals’ second-round pick in 2019 and played four seasons for Arizona before going to Minnesota in free agency. He made his first Pro Bowl this season after picking off a career-high six passes.
- WR Trent Sherfield
Sherfield played for the Cardinals from 2018-2020 after making the team as an undrafted rookie and then being a standout special teams player.
He has played for four teams in four seasons but hasn’t missed a game in four years.

- DL Kevin Strong
Strong is on the Rams’ practice squad. He played part of the 2023 season for the Cardinals.
