The Miami Dolphins need to win to help the Arizona Cardinals get a better draft pick.
The Arizona Cardinals can finish with eight wins, which is where most of us had pegged them, an 8-9 win team coming out of the second season with Jonathan Gannon at the helm.
Of course, they need to win their final game to get to that mark, but the reality is even getting to eight wins doesn’t feel like a good season.
Instead, it feels empty with a number of missed opportunities along the way.
Anyways, let’s look at what the Arizona Cardinals fans will now be monitoring, as we root now for… draft status.
I hate this team sometimes.
With the morning slate cooked, the Cardinals are sitting with the 14th pick, as they have the same record as the Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys, but of course the Cardinals schedule is harder, so they get penalized.
Now, a win by the Miami Dolphins will keep them with the 14th pick, but a loss would move them back to the 15th pick.
So, we root for the Dolphins to find a way to win with Tyler Huntley as the starter, while the Cleveland Browns are going with the tank job, starting Dorian Thompson-Robinson who is not very good.
There is a great game with massive playoff implications today, as the Minnesota Vikings host the Green Bay Packers, but we don’t care about that crap.
Go Dolphins!
