The Philadelphia Eagles were crowned Super Bowl LIX champions on Sunday in New Orleans with their 40-22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, thwarting K.C.’s chance at a first-ever Super Bowl threepeat.
But with the completion of the 2024 season, we can immediately look ahead to the 2025 season and the odds of winning Super Bowl LX.
The Eagles are the favorites to win it again at +650, according to BetMGM Sportsbook, followed by the Baltimore Ravens at +700 and both the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs at +750.
What about the Arizona Cardinals?
They are longshots but not like they were a couple of years ago when they had the longest odds of all 32 NFL teams.
They have +6600 odds, which is 66/1 and calculates to 1.49% implied odds. They share the same odds as the Dallas Cowboys.
Eleven teams have longer odds.
The Cardinals have steadily improved over the last couple of seasons. In 2022, they were a terrible four-win team. In 2023, the first year under head coach Jonathan Gannon, they won four games again but were a competitive, promising four-win team. In 2024, they were in first place in the division in Week 11 entering their bye, but they faltered late, finished 8-9 and missed the postseason.
Reasonable expectations for them in 2025 would be to be a postseason team, at least giving them a shot at winning the first Super Bowl in franchise history.
But for now, there isn’t a lot of optimism for the type of team they can be, at least not yet.
