At 3-4, the Wildcats find themselves at the bottom of the Big 12 standings and the only team under .500. It is the first time the Wildcats have been under .500 since 2010.
This week’s poll snaps a streak of 61 straight appearances in the AP Poll for the Wildcats, the then fourth-longest streak in the country.
It is the first time since the beginning of Tommy Lloyd’s tenure during the 2021-22 season that the Wildcats have not been ranked.
The last time the Wildcats dropped out of the Top 25 during the middle of the season was February 2020.
Arizona began the season ranked No. 10 in the AP Preseason Top 25, climbed to No. 9 the following week, but dropped to No. 17 after losing at Wisconsin on Nov. 15. The Wildcats further fell to No. 24 after a loss at home to Duke on Nov. 22.
This week after beating Davidson, the Wildcats lost to Oklahoma and West Virginia in the Bahamas in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament.
Arizona next hosts Southern Utah (7-2) on Saturday at noon.

Coming off wins this week over New Mexico and Saint Mary’s at the Acrisure Classic in Palm Springs, California, Arizona State received 89 votes in the AP Top 25 Poll.
