The former Wildcat played two seasons down South, including the 10-win season that ended in an Alamo Bowl win
Defensive lineman Jocab Kongaika announced he will be taking the short trip north and playing for Kenny Dillingham and the Sun Devils, after visiting shortly after Arizona’s win in the Alamo Bowl.
Kongaika played two seasons for Jedd Fisch and the Wildcats. Now, the 6-foot-2, 300-pound, former three-star prospect from Mater Dei, Santa Ana, Ca., will suit up in the maroon and gold.

Through two seasons, Kongaika saw action in 22 games, 13 of which came in 2023 where he accumulated 14 tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks and two fumble recoveries. One of the fumble recoveries was during the lopsided Territorial Cup win for the Wildcats.
Kongaika will help replace the losses of Dahaun Mallory, BJ Green — although an edge — and Michael Matus.
