Rashada played in three games for the Sun Devils during the 2023 season and dealt with a lingering knee injury during his first year. In those three games, the talented quarterback flashed signs of major talent while dealing with an onslaught of injuries and chaos in head coach Kenny Dillingham’s first year.
Rashada threw for 485 yards and four touchdowns in the three games played, with the only game played in its entirety being the first game of the 2023 season against Southern Utah.

Now, the former Elite 11 and Top 50 overall recruit in the class of 2023 will look to take his talent elsewhere.
Rashada, who was going to miss ASU’s spring ball after having surgery on his throwing hand in a non-football-related injury, will gain interest with Georgia and Maryland emerging as early frontrunners. Rashada was originally a Miami commit, then a Florida signee, but after a Name, Image, and Likeness deal fell through with Gator Collective, he requested a release from his national letter of intent and committed to ASU, where his father Harlen played from 1992-94.
ASU’s transferred quarterback Sam Leavitt appears to be slotted in as the starting quarterback coming out of spring ball, according to sources. Leavitt played one season at Michigan State, where he threw for 139 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in four games played.
