Five-star big man Jayden Quaintance has committed to Arizona State following a weekend visit, giving coach Bobby Hurley and his staff a huge addition just as the school enters the Big 12 Conference.
The news was first reported by ESPN.
“We have a good relationship with [Coach] Hurley,’ his father, Haminn, told ZAGSBLOG. “We know people who have been there, he lived in Arizona and we like Hurley. That was pretty much it.”
He added: “We were reached out to by a lot of people, but we were just looking for the right fit and that was the right fit.”
After obtaining his release from Kentucky following the coaching change, the 6-foot-9, 230 pound big man from Word of God Academy (NC) also considered Louisville, Memphis and Kentucky.
