Bo Aldridge, the four-star Class of 2024 shooting guard from Phoenix (AZ) Prep and Team Trae Young, has committed to Arizona State, he told ZAGSBLOG.
The 6-foot-4 Aldridge also considered Oklahoma, Mississippi State and Ole Miss, among others.
“I will be taking my talents to Arizona State,” he told ZAGSBLOG.
“I believe Arizona State was the best option for me because I trust in Coach [Bobby] Hurley and the rest of the coaching staff on what they’re doing at Arizona State. Coach Hurley hasn’t had the most experiences with 4- or 5-star players but has had a lot of 3-star underdog recruits and those willing to work for it turn out to be dawgs. He know what it takes in order to get to that next stage after playing high major basketball. He has an amazing coaching staff who is gonna push you past your limits and that’s what I was looking for alongside looking for loyalty and respect within a coaching staff.”
He added: “I will be bringing a very athletic skillset to Arizona State but my main focus is definitely improving my shooting more. I can say my role would to be to sprint the floor and try to get the gym rocking with my athletics using it to guard bigger guards than me and just locking in on the defensive end.”
Aldridge joins four-star forward Sammie Yeaney, three-star big man Jaden Smith and four-star wing Amier Ali in Arizona State’s 2024 class. They all plan to sign during the early period this week.
“I haven’t recruited anyone else to come with me cause I feel we have a very good recruiting class with me and Amier coming in at the guard position and then two great big men that will also be joining in the 24’ class,” Aldridge said.
