Dylan Moses was once one of college football’s top defensive players. Then, injuries practically derailed his collegiate career. But there was still hope he could carve out a role in the NFL.
The Jacksonville Jaguars signed Moses as an undrafted free agent earlier this offseason. They had hoped he could get healthy and return to the star player he once was. It appears the former Alabama linebacker is still recovering from prior knee injuries.
The Jaguars placed Moses on the non-football injury list on Tuesday, per NFL insider Field Yates. It appears he still needs time to recover before he makes one final push at the NFL.

Dylan Moses was terrific for the Alabama Crimson Tide during his time there. He totaled 192 tackles and 12 interceptions for Nick Saban’s defense. Injuries were constantly slowing him down, though. We wish him luck as he continues in his quest to play professional football.
Jacksonville, meanwhile, is entering an exciting new era. The Jaguars are now led by former college football stars in head coach Urban Meyer and quarterback Trevor Lawrence. The foundation’s in place. Now, it’s up to Jacksonville’s front office to shape a championship roster.
Priority No. 1 for the Jaguars is building in the trenches on the offensive side of the ball. Their offensive line isn’t terrible, but it’s not great. And it has to be great if Jacksonville ever wants to contend for the AFC South.
The Jaguars begin the 2021 campaign on Sept. 12 against the Houston Texans.
