Within minutes of the 2024 season ending in blowout fashion on Saturday, Arizona was back at work trying to put together the roster for 2025. The Wildcats had several key recruits on campus, and at least one of them liked what they saw and heard despite what happened in the Territorial Cup.
Jaxon Griffin, a 3-star offensive lineman from Mesa, has committed to Arizona. His pledge comes after taking an official visit over the weekend and with the Early Signing Period for the 2025 recruiting class set to begin Wednesday.

The 6-foot-6, 250-pound Griffin is ranked by 247 as the 28th-best prospect in Arizona and the No. 149 offensive tackle in the 2025 class. He picked the UA over offers from Colorado State and Oregon State.
Griffin, who plays for Red Mountain High School, is the 20th known member of Arizona’s 2025 class. He is the fourth in-state pickup and fifth for an offensive line that will need to replace multiple starters.
