Peat, who picked the Wildcats over ASU, Baylor, Houston and Texas Tech, becomes Arizona’s highest-ranked commit since center Deandre Ayton (3rd) in 2017. The highest-ranked signee under Lloyd has been Carter Bryant, who was 24th in the 2024 recruiting class.
The spring signing period for prep basketball recruits begins April 16, at which time Peat will join a 2025 class that includes fall signee Dwayne Aristode, a 5-star wing, and 3-star shooting guard Bryce James—the younger son of LeBron James—who committed to the UA on Jan. 1.
