In a world of change, Arizona’s affiliation with Nike remains a constant.
Arizona has been a Nike school since the mid-2000s, and the partnership will remain intact for at least another eight years.
Arizona Athletics announced Monday that the school has renewed its Nike contract through 2033, while significantly increasing Arizona’s annual Nike product allotment. The extension begins in the 2025-26 athletic season.

“Our long-term partnership with Nike has been mutually beneficial for decades and this contract extension further enhances the University’s ability to support our student-athletes, coaches and staff and elevate the UA brand,” said Arizona athletic director Desireé Reed-Francois in a statement. “Today’s announcement demonstrates a mutual commitment to excellence and would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication from our campus partners. This agreement positions Arizona Athletics among the nation’s top programs, benefiting from robust corporate partnerships. We are grateful to Nike and its leadership team and we look forward to many more years of a wonderful partnership.”
Under the terms of the extension, Arizona will have more flexibility in outfitting its teams and maximizing the impact of Nike’s premier offerings, the athletic department said.
The Arizona Daily Star’s Michael Lev reports that the eight-year deal has a total value of $44 million, or $5.5 million per year. Arizona’s current 10-year deal provides $2.33 million per year.
Arizona’s Nike deal is believed to be the largest Nike apparel deal in the Big 12, Lev reports. Arizona is one of 11 Nike programs in the Big 12.
