Arizona men’s basketball will be without center Motiejus Krivas for Saturday’s matchup against UCLA.
Krivas will sit out against the Bruins with a lower left injury, and his status remains uncertain for the near future, according to Bruce Pascoe of the Arizona Daily Star.
Arizona center Motiejus Krivas won’t play vs UCLA today bc of lower left leg injury. He missed much of preseason with left foot injury. Status remains uncertain for the near future while UA expected to keep evaluating him.

Krivas has been hampered by a left foot injury that forced him to sit out Arizona’s preseason games. Krivas appeared in Arizona’s first eight games and is averaging 16 minutes on the court.
Krivas is averaging 7.9 points and 4.5 rebounds.
Heading into the season, Krivas was expected to be Arizona’s starting center. Tennessee transfer Tobe Awake assumed that role as Krivas recovered from his foot injury.
Krivas’ absence Saturday will take away Arizona’s size in defending a UCLA team that plays around forward Tyler Bilodeau. The Oregon State transfer is averaging 13.3 points and 5.9 rebounds.
Last season Bilodeau played one of his best games against Arizona, going off for 22 points on 8 of 10 shooting in Oregon State’s 83-80 upset win.
