The Early Signing Period has come and gone for high school prospects, the next opportunity to sign with a college coming in February. And Arizona has someone in line to join the 2025 recruiting class at that point.
The Wildcats have received a commitment from Porter Patton, a defensive lineman from Austin, Texas:

The 6-foot-7, 260-pound Patton picked Arizona over offers from Air Force, Marshall and Navy. He is not currently ranked by 247Sports but that is likely to change once his game film is reviewed.
Patton, the son of ex-Texas Longhorn and Buffalo Bills defensive lineman James Patton, has 39 tackles (three for loss) with two sacks this season for Westlake High School, which plays Saturday in the Conference 6A Division I semifinals against Houston North Shore.
He becomes the 21st member of Arizona’s 2025 class, the first 20 of which signed last week. He is the sevenths from Texas and the fifth for the defensive line.
