Fall ball is just over a week away, but that doesn’t mean Arizona softball is done adding to its roster. The program announced the addition of walk-on infielder Camilia Zepeda on Thursday afternoon.

Zepeda comes to the Wildcats as a transfer from Pima Community College where she played for two years. The incoming junior was the 2024 ACCAC Player of the Year and a second-team NJCAA Division I All-American.
As a sophomore, Zepeda led PCC with a .473 batting average, 17 home runs, 21 doubles, 62 RBI, and 14 stolen bases. She had a .500 on-base percentage and an .871 slugging percentage. Thirty-one of her 88 hits came during a single hitting streak.
In her two seasons with the Aztecs, she hit .441 with a .472 OBP and a .749 SLG. She had 24 home runs, 44 doubles, 3 triples, and 134 RBI. She went 17 for 17 on stolen base attempts. She had 25 walks against 33 strikeouts.
Zepeda helped lead the Aztecs to a 43-14 season that ended at the NJCAA Division I World Series last year. PCC went 1-2 at the World Series and was eliminated by Trinidad State College.
“We are so excited to welcome Camila to the Wildcat family!” Arizona head coach Caitlin Lowe. was quoted in the program’s press release. “She was a star player at Pima with NJCAA All-Region and All-American honors. She will add depth to our infield, and we are thrilled to have her as part of our team.”
Zepeda arrived at PCC after graduating from Tucson High Magnet School.
The 2025 Arizona team will begin its fall schedule on Friday, Oct. 18 when it hosts Arizona Western at 5 p.m. MST.
