KJ Lewis was the first Arizona player to put his name in the transfer portal after the Wildcats’ season-ending loss to Duke. A week later, Lewis has decided where he’ll be playing in 2025-26.
ESPN’s Jeff Borzello reports that Lewis has committed to Georgetown. Lewis will have two remaining years of eligibility.

Lewis was considered one of the top players in the transfer portal after a productive sophomore season with the Wildcats. He averaged 10.8 points and 4.6 rebounds while earning career highs in assists (106), blocks (31) and steals (49).
He appeared in all 37 games, starting the first six before moving back to the bench.
Lewis joins a Georgetown program coming off an 18-16 record and a 7th place finish in the Big East. Georgetown reached the semifinals of the College Basketball Crown tournament played in Las Vegas.
Georgetown loses its top scorer Micah Peavy to graduation. Peavy’s father coached Lewis at Duncanville High School in Dallas.
WHAT A DAY IN THE DISTRICT!!!
KJ Lewis went to Duncanville HS, the same HS as Micah Peavy, and was coached by Peavy’s father. Lewis is the Peavy replacement, big guard who will turn the lights off your best player and can facilitate well on the other end. All-BE caliber player. https://t.co/JS117hACs9

Lewis joins a Hoyas backcourt that includes Baylor transfer Langston Love and potential returners Malik Mack and Jayden Epps.
He is the second significant contributor from the 2024-25 Arizona team to join an east coast program, following Henri Veesaar who committed to North Carolina on Friday.
Former Arizona big man Emmanuel Stephen committed to UNLV on Saturday, while Conrad Martinez is still in the portal.
Arizona will look to fill Lewis’ role either through a portal addition or by landing a high school prospect, namely 5-star combo guard Brayden Burries. Burries is expected to make his decision in the coming week or two.
