James — the 6-foot-4, 190-pound guard from Sierra Canyon (CA) and the Team SFG Nike EYBL AAU program — is son of the NBA’s all-time leading scorer LeBron James and the younger brother of Bronny James, who currently plays on the South Bay Lakers in the G League.
“[He] can space the floor with his shooting ability,” Sierra Canyon assistant coach Ed Estevan told ZAGSBLOG. “His growth spurt and his athleticism change his game. [He’s a] very smart basketball player. Makes the right read and decision on the floor. His defense is getting better, too, because [of] his size, athleticism, and his IQ.’
James is the second commit in Arizona’s 2025 class, joining five-star small forward Dwayne Aristode.
“Bryce has shown continued progression with his skills each time he has been with USA Basketball,” USA Basketball youth coach Don Showalter said. “His consistent play both on offense and defense has been significant. Bryce has demonstrated he can shoot the ball with range and can play the role of defender very well.”
The Wildcats are still in the mix for prospects like five-star power forward Koa Peat, five-star guard Alijah Arenas and three-star small forward Andre Iguodala II.
