The Wildcats’ schedule will change for Saturday’s Game 3 on Apr. 19 due to a TV change
Arizona has always been a hot commodity in the softball world. Texas Tech became one with the addition of star pitcher NiJaree Canady. Television executives are taking notice.
The third game of the series between the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the Big 12 has been moved from ESPNU to ESPN2 on Saturday, Apr. 19. The game has been shifted from early afternoon to 5:30 p.m. MST as a result.
The game is also Arizona’s senior day. The program will honor seniors Paige Dimler, Devyn Netz, Miranda Stoddard, and Saya Swain afterward.
The series between the two teams had already drawn interest from both Fox and ESPN before the season. Friday’s game will still air on FS1, as announced by the Big 12 in early February. ESPN was set to air Saturday’s game on ESPNU, which has less coverage than ESPN2. The game will now be on one of the primary ESPN channels. The first game of the series will be on ESPN+.
Arizona is in Lawrence, Kan. this week to take on the Jayhawks. First pitch for game one is at 3 p.m. MST on Friday, Apr. 11. All three games will stream on ESPN+.
