Arizona has had a terrible start to its Sweet 16 game over Clemson on Thursday night.
The Wildcats have had a bad start defensively and haven’t been knocking down shots as they currently trail by 8 at halftime, 39-31.
it’s led to college basketball fans saying the same thing about their performance on social media.
“Arizona doing Arizona things in March,” one tweet read.
“I’m shocked that Arizona is struggling against a lesser opponent in March. they’re usually so consistent and reliable come tournament time!” another tweet read.
“Arizona looks like they’re doing their annual March flameout with how they’re playing against Clemson,” another fan tweeted.
Arizona was down 35-24 towards the end of the half before cutting it to 39-31 at the break.
Oumar Ballo leads the Wildcats in scoring with six points and will need to keep playing well if they want to make a comeback in the second half.
If they’re able to come back, they’d advance to the Elite Eight to play the winner of the Alabama-North Carolina game, which will take place after this one. The Elite Eight will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
You can watch the second half on CBS.
