There’s no way to replace Tetairoa McMillan with just one person. Arizona isn’t going to try to, instead opting to have as many options as possible for Noah Fifita.
The Wildcats have earned a commitment from former Washington State receiver Kris Hutson, their sixth pickup overall from the NCAA transfer portal and second at wideout.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Hutson comes to Arizona with one season of eligibility remaining. He is coming off a career year at Washington State, catching 54 passes for 683 yards and two touchdowns.
Hutson began his career at Oregon, where from 2020-23 he appeared in 39 games and had 80 catches for 936 yards and two TDs. He is a former 4-star prospect in the 2020 recruiting class.
He will join former New Mexico wideout Luke Wysong, the UA’s first transfer pickup this offseason, in a receiver corps that has to replace T-Mac’s 84 catches and 1,319 yards as well as the numbers from three other players who have either graduated or entered the portal.
Arizona’s other four transfer additions have been to the defensive side, where 10 of 18 players who started at least four games in 2024 have graduated or are in the portal.
