It appears the referees are taking over the second half of the Arizona-Dayton game this Saturday. Well, at least it seems that way.
The referees have made a plethora of questionable calls this Saturday in Salt Lake City. They’ve also been incredibly inconsistent.
After letting Arizona and Dayton play physical defense for the first 10 minutes of the second half, the officiating crew started calling fouls on just about everything.
Naturally, fans rushed to social media to blast the referees in the Arizona-Dayton game.
“The refs have big money on Arizona…tune in to CBS for live criminal acts against Dayton,” one fan tweeted. “Sad to see it happen to these kids…”
Another fan wrote, “Refs not calling fouls on Arizona but calling little touch fouls on Dayton is all I need to know about who they want winning this one…”
“Dayton guy(15) fouled three times and no whistle,” a third fan said. “Arizona guy doesn’t touched and a foul is called against Dayton. Why are refs so bad?”
Arizona led by as many as 17 points in the first half of this game, but Dayton stormed back thanks to DaRon Holmes II and Koby Brea.
Luckily for Arizona, its key players have all stepped up – especially Caleb Love and Keshad Johnson. Their performances have helped the Wildcats fend off the pro-Flyers crowd.
