Former Arizona Wildcats star Ka’Deem Carey has cemented his legacy as one of the top running backs in the present era of the Canadian Football League.
Carey helped lead the Toronto Argonauts to a Grey Cup title Sunday evening as Toronto defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 41-23 in Vancouver.
Carey ran for 79 yards on 15 carries and scored a late fourth quarter touchdown that put the game out of reach.

Carey finishes the season with 1,139 rushing yards and eight touchdowns to go with 366 receiving yards and one touchdown through the air.
The 32-year-old Tucson native is in his first season with the Agronauts. He was named a 2024 CFL East All Star selection.
Carey previously played for Calgary Stampeders from 2018-23. He was part of Calgary’s 2018 Grey Cup championship team.
A two-time consensus All-American Arizona and the 2013 Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year, Carey was drafted by the Chicago Bears in 2014. He played 37 career games with the Bears across three seasons, rushing for 443 yards and two touchdowns.
Carey may not have had the long NFL career that American football players dream of, but he’s made a significant impact playing in the CFL. Assuming he can stay stay healthy, Carey should have a more seasons under his belt.
For now he gets to celebrate as Grey Cup champion.
