Former Texas A&M head coach and current Maryland assistant Kevin Sumlin was arrested over the weekend for DUI, according to reports.
Taylor Lyons of The Diamondback, the University of Maryland’s independent student newspaper, broke the news Monday night. Sumlin was arrested in Hillsborough County, Fla. early Saturday morning.
“Sumlin refused a breathalyzer test, which results in a license suspension for at least one year, according to the [police] report,” Lyons wrote. “He pleaded not guilty and waived arraignment. The charge carries a maximum sentence of six months in prison.”
