The 2024 NFL regular season wrapped up on Sunday. Here’s how former Arizona Wildcats fared across the league this season.
Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles, LB/ST, San Francisco 49ers
Most of Flannigan-Fowles contributions for the Niners came on special teams, where he played 184 snaps across 12 games. He recorded a 76.6 special teams grade per Pro Football Focus, the sixth-best on the team.
Flannigan-Fowles struggled mightily at the linebacker position. Over 151 snaps, he had the team’s worst defensive grade (by a large margin) at 30.6.
Flannigan-Fowles’ top highlight this season was intercepting Aaron Rodgers on Monday Night Football.

Jordan Morgan, OT, Green Bay Packers
Morgan has had an up-and-down rookie season for the Packers. He suffered a shoulder injury during training camp and never fully recovered. He appeared in the Packers’ first two games, then had a setback, then returned for four more games, the last of which he played 65 snaps.
However, Morgan re-injured his shoulder after Week 9 and was forced to miss the rest of the season. He’ll be out for the playoffs as well.
Morgan, a first round draft pick, will have plenty to prove going into next season.
Jacob Cowing, WR/ST, San Francisco 49ers
Cowing, the Niners’ fourth round draft pick, appeared in all but three games with the majority of his efforts coming on special teams. He recorded 61 special teams snaps, earning a 61.4 grade from PFF.
Cowing finally got his first NFL receptions in the Niners’ season finale against the Arizona Cardinals. He had two catches on Sunday for 30 total yards. A nice homecoming trip for the Maricopa native.
Christian Roland-Wallace, CB/ST, Kansas City Chiefs
Roland-Wallace has quickly carved a nice role for himself playing for the back-to-back reigning Super Bowl champions.
The former Wildcat, who played his graduate senior season at USC, has recorded 194 snaps at cornerback and 249 snaps on special teams for the Chiefs. Roland-Wallace has particularly excelled at special teams, as his 82.8 grade ranks third on the team.
The undrafted rookie has 23 tackles as well as one interception and one forced fumble. He had a season-high 10 tackles in Kansas City’s Christmas Day win over the Steelers.
If all goes well for Kansas City, Roland-Wallace will be competing for a Super Bowl next month.
Nick Folk, K, Tennessee Titans
At age 40, Folk is proving he’s still one of the most reliable kickers in the NFL. Folk converted 21 of 22 field goals for the Titans, and his 95.5 field goal percent is fifth-best in the league. Folk, however, missed the last few games of the season with an abdomen injury.
He now ranks 14th in NFL history with 403 field goals.
Folk was on a one-year contract with the Titans. After the season Folk had, it’s likely that the Titans or another team will pick him up this offseason.
J.J. Taylor, RB, Houston Texans
The third year running back appeared in five games for the Texans, carrying the ball a total of 10 times for 44 yards. Taylor faces an uphill climb to catch on with an NFL team next season.
Tanner McLachlan, TE, Cincinnati Bengals
It took until the last weeks of the season for McLachlan to get his first snaps in the NFL. He appeared in Cincinnati’s Dec. 22 win over Cleveland and Dec. 28 win over Denver but did not record any snaps.
Cincinnati drafted McLachlan in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. He’s entering the second year of a four-year, $4.2 million contract.
Gary Brightwell, RB, Cincinnati Bengals
Brightwell appeared in two games in September for the Bengals but did not see any carries. He was waived on Oct. 1.
D.J. Williams, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Williams appeared in one game for the Buccaneers, seeing action on special teams.
