After three years at the University of Arizona, safety Isaiah Taylor – the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame pass rusher Jason Taylor – has decided to find a new school. Now it appears he’s found one.
Last month Taylor entered the NCAA transfer portal. Today, he announced that he is going to the University of Miami and joining the Hurricanes.
“I’m home,” Taylor wrote on X, posting an image of himself wearing Miami gear.
Taylor is a Florida native and his father Jason currently works at the University of Miami as the team’s defensive ends coach.

This past year Isaiah Taylor had 15 tackles in 10 games. The year before was even more productive as he posted 40 tackles, one tackle for loss and two passes defended in 11 games.
Taylor should have two years of eligibility remaining, so he’ll have plenty of time to develop into a player who can potentially play in the NFL like his father did (assuming that’s what he still wants).
For now, the Hurricanes have themselves a new and experienced defensive back.
