The final game of a pretty bad season for Arizona went about as poorly as it could, with the Wildcats losing 49-7 at home to ASU in the Territorial Cup. And most of the grades from Pro Football Focus reflected that.
The Wildcats (4-8, 2-7 Big 12) graded out at 53.1 overall, behind only the 50.6 from the 56-12 loss at UCF and the lowest grade at home since the 2021 season. The 50.6 defensive grade was also second-lowest of the season, with many other categories at or near the bottom for 2024.
The exception was Arizona’s pass blocking, which graded out at a season-best 93.1 despite missing 3-year starter Jonah Savaiinaea at left tackle. That was the best grade for that area since a 95.3 at Stanford in September 2023.
For the season, Arizona’s overall grade of 75.5 ranks 104th out of 134 FBS schools. A year ago the Wildcats tied for 16th at 90.8.
Below are the snap counts and PFF grades for everyone that appeared on offense or defense in the Territorial Cup, as well as some individual superlatives. A season review of grades and snap counts will be coming during the week.
