The schedule has been released
The Arizona Coyotes 2021-22 Schedule has been released with the dates of 82 games being released.
The Coyotes season will open on the road, facing off against the Columbus Blue Jackets on October 14th and the Buffalo Sabres on October 16th.
Their first game at home will be against the St. Louis Blues on Monday, October 18th. It will be the first game of a three-game homestand to face off against the Edmonton Oilers and the New York Islanders.
This will be the first season the Coyotes are in the Central Division, and they won’t have to wait too long to play the team kicking them out of the Pacific. The NHL’s newest team, the Seattle Kraken, will play their first game at Gila River Arena on Saturday, November 6th.
The schedule does include a break for the Olympics, however, the Coyotes’ website notes that there is still not a deal in place for NHL players to participate in the upcoming games.
The Coyotes’ season will finish at home against the Nashville Predators, soon a Division Rival. The Coyotes’ last four games of the central division will be against Central Division teams, which could prove significant if the Coyotes are in a playoff hunt.
The team will have 17 back-to-backs, including 3 in April. It will make for a meaningful if brutal, end to the season.
