Tampa Bay Lightning vs Montreal Canadiens
Head-to-Head: Lightning 0-1 Canadiens
Time: 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)

We open NHL predictions with the Tampa Bay Lightning facing the Montreal Canadiens. The Lightning are slated to go with Andrei Vasilevskiy in goal for this game. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. Tampa Bay is coming into this game with a 5-4-1 mark in the last 10 games. Brayden Point has notched 27 goals and 23 assists for the Lightning.
Montreal has confirmed it will go with Sam Montembeault in between the pipes for this one. The Habs are 7-2-1 in the last 10 games, including an overtime win over the New York Rangers. Cole Caufield is continuing his great season with six goals and five assists over the past 10 games.
Tampa Bay is coming off a loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs the night before and Montreal should take advantage of that.
Prediction: Canadiens win 4-2.
Ottawa Senators vs New York Rangers
Head-to-Head: Senators 0-1 Rangers
Time: 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
TV: TSN5; MSG; ESPN+
Our next game of NHL predictions is a pivotal one in terms of Stanley Cup Playoff positioning between the Ottawa Senators and the Rangers. Ottawa will go with Leevi Merilainen in net for this game. The Senators are 5-3-2 and have victories in the last pair of games. German standout Tim Stutzle has 15 goals and 30 assists for the so far this campaign for Ottawa.
Igor Shesterkin as the confirmed starter for the Rangers, who are 6-1-3 in the last 10 games. Many left the Blueshirts for dead, but they’ve given themselves a lifeline. Artemi Panarin is line for another solid season with 19 goals and 28 assists for New York.
This is a pivotal game for both clubs, but Ottawa gets the key win.
Prediction: Senators win 3-2.
Washington Capitals vs Edmonton Oilers
Time: 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
TV: SN West; Monument Sports Network; ESPN
The last game of NHL predictions has the Capitals visiting the Oilers in a big-time matchup. Logan Thompson is the expected starter for Washington, which is 7-0-3 in the last 10 games. This includes the Capitals reeling off four consecutive victories. Dylan Strome is posting another strong campaign with 12 goals and 34 assists for Washington.
Stuart Skinner is expected to get the call in this game for Edmonton, which is 8-2 in the last 10 games. However, the Oilers will be without Connor McDavid, who is suspended for the next three games. Leon Draisaitl has picked up the slack this season with 33 goals and 36 assists for Edmonton.
The Oilers are still a capable team without McDavid. However, the Capitals will pick up a road victory.
Prediction: Capitals win 4-2.
