Will anyone score against the Dodgers ever again?
The Dodgers have shut out their opponents for the last three playoff games in a row, tying the post-season scoreless streak of 33 games. Say what you like about LA, that’s impressive, especially given how their pitching rotation has been held together with duct tape and hope of late. For comparison, know how many times someone posted three consecutive shutouts during the 2024 regular season, across all thirty teams and 162 games? That would be once: of all people, it was the Marlins, who did it against two playoff teams, in the Tigers and Mets, winning 1-0, 2-0 and 8-0 from May 14-17. Nobody has reached four since 2012, so I’m optimistic the Mets will score at least ONCE tonight!
