Every Division Series is currently 1-1. That will change.
Quite a contrast to the wild-card series, where we only went one game over the absolute minimum. Now, we’re guaranteed no sweeps in the Division Series for the first time since 2021, with the four series all splitting the first two games for the first time ever. TBS and FOX will be happy with that, I imagine. They’ll be hoping all the series go to a winner take all fifth contest. That would be something only seen once: the 2012 Division Series, which all ended in a 3-2 margin. The closest of late is probably 2019, where three of the four went the distance, but the Yankees swept the Twins. We got 3 of 4 in 2015 as well, and also in 2001, including the D-backs going five against the Cardinals.
