One of the more underrated free agents of this winter’s crop has made his decision and will take his consistent, veteran services to the Texas Rangers on a 2-year/$12.5 million pact with an option for a further $7 million in 2027. That option comes with a $1 million buyout, giving Higashioka a $13.5 million guarantee.
