Hot spring continues for Arizona Diamondbacks starter; Josh Naylor goes deep
“The plus is that the things you work on in the offseason and the things you work on in camp are showing up in game,” Burnes said. “We’re not really having to fight mechanically with anything. We’ve kind of worked on the slider a little bit and the slider has been pretty good. Just pleased with how the work we’ve put in has kind of showed up in game and we’re happy with where it’s at.”

Ryan Thompson on D-backs closer job: ‘5 or 6 of us can easily do that job’
“In 2023 when we had that great playoff run I took a lot of pride in being the seventh inning guy. I knew the back of my jersey said seventh inning guy,” Thompson said. “I believed in (Kevin) Ginkel and (Paul) Sewald so much that I treated the seventh inning like I was closing the game out. I felt like if I put up a zero, it’s game over.”

Arizona Diamondbacks’ Torey Lovullo says he will handle lineups differently this season
“If there is some lineup flexibility it’s going to help us, in my opinion, win the game,” Lovullo said. “I might get it right or I might get it wrong. But there’s going to be a reason for it, and I’ll be sure to outline it with those guys before I do something like that.”
Orlando Hudson Discloses What Makes Arizona’s Culture Unique
One could’ve imagined it wasn’t much different, but Hudson made sure to point out that “No, it’s not your imagination,” that the culture is truly unique.
Hudson continued to explain the differences by saying, “That’s what we do. That’s Diamondback baseball. That’s top to bottom. That’s from the big leagues on down to the DSL and Dominican Republic. We demand baseball attitudes, aptitude, the way we approach the game, the way we play the game.
“We’re going to play the game hard. We’re going to be dedicated. We’re going to play the game the right way. And we’re going to play baseball and what people are used to seeing in baseball.”
Diamondbacks’ First-Round Draft Pick Talks Transition to Pro Ball
“It’s going great right now. It’s been an awesome experience, my first Spring Training….Just really having to slow the game down because major league baseball is sped up so much with the pitch clock and everything. And I like to be everywhere at once, so just grounding myself,” Caldwell said. Definitely just getting the reps in. It’s a lot more coming at you as a high school kid coming out of high school and going into pro ball, there are a lot of different variables… Just being able to slow it down, take it day by day, and just come to the ballpark every day and bring your best of what you have.”
Diamondbacks’ Star Catcher is Reaping the Benefits of Recent Changes
“Receiving, blocking, throwing, game calling. All of it is important to me because that’s what I’m going to do every night behind the plate,” said Moreno. “I don’t have to confirm if I feel good or not. I just got to keep working, trying to get better and be better in the little things. That’s what I’m focusing on every day here when I’m working. Trying to get more consistent.”

You can see two sunsets from the Burj Khalifa in one day.

Tug of war, live pigeon shooting, and pistol dueling used to be in the Olympics.
In the early 1900s, tug of war, pigeon shooting, and pistol dueling were Olympics. However, by 1920, all of these events were excluded. Tug of war was no longer considered athletics, and the animal rights movement had live pigeon shooting banned.
David Bowie helped topple the Berlin wall.
During a performance in 1987, Bowie’s performance of ‘Heroes’ near the Reichstag could be heard by the police in East Berlin. This resulted in a police crackdown because such music was forbidden there. Some say that the violent police crackdown during the concert was a necessity in changing the mood against the state.
