“It’s only been three outings, but I feel like within those three outings I’ve shown probably more than (the team) expected me to show,” he said. “I feel like I haven’t really missed (a beat since surgery). I know I had two years off but it doesn’t feel that way when I’m out on the mound.”

“That was quite a thrill, quite a thrill playing with those guys,” Schallock told The Associated Press last year in an interview ahead of his 100th birthday. “I roomed with Yogi Berra when I got up there and he knew all the hitters.
