Dbacks won a great game… Anything else happen?

(Burn City Sports) Brandon Pfaadt’s fantastic outing leads Diamondbacks to 5-1 victory over Brewers
It was redemption for the young right-hander, who surrendered eight runs in 1 2/3 innings to the same Brewers team just five days ago at Chase Field. At one point, he struck out seven straight hitters between the fourth and sixth innings, tying the franchise record. The only other two pitchers to achieve that are Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling, who both did it in the team’s championship season in 2001.
(Sports Illustrated) Could the Diamondbacks Actually Leave Arizona?
The ongoing saga of the Arizona Diamondbacks’ troubles with the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors exploded into public acrimony late on Tuesday. The negotiations over a lease extension for Chase Field once again fell upon the rocky shoals of who is going to pay for what going forward.
With a lease that expires at the end of the 2027 season, and no extension deal in sight, it’s legitimate to question the team’s future not only in downtown Phoenix, but in the state in general.
(Arizona Sports) Surging D-backs prospect Demetrio Crisantes ends season with 57-game on-base streak
Infielder Demetrio Crisantes, a 2022 seventh-round pick from Nogales High School, reached base safely in 57 consecutive games from June 25 to the end of the regular season at Single-A Visalia in a breakout campaign.
Crisantes is tracking down the unofficial MiLB record of 71 straight games, set by former Boston Red Sox players Kevin Millar and Kevin Youkilis. Crisantes will have the opportunity to do next season.

(True Blue LA) Shohei Ohtani & ‘the greatest day in baseball history’
Shohei Ohtani was already having an incredible Thursday at loanDepot Park. He stole two bases, the first of which gave him 50 steals on the season. Hit hit two home runs to get to 50-50 and break the franchise home run record in the process.
The game was already in hand, and the Marlins had position player Vidal Bruján on the mound. Chris Taylor singled with two outs to allow Ohtani to bat for a sixth time. The mood on the SportsNet LA broadcast was understandably giddy, when Ohtani added to his ridiculous day with yet another home run.
Since RBI became official in 1920, only one MLB player has had, over the course of his entire career (same game or not),
a game with 10+ RBI
a game with 6+ hits
a game with 5+ XBH
a game with 3+ HR
a game with 2+ SBThat one player is Shohei Ohtani. He did all of it today. pic.twitter.com/njXOmwHKnm

(NBC LA ) Here’s how much experts say Shohei Ohtani’s 50-50 club home run ball is worth
The Los Angeles Dodgers star became the first player in Major League Baseball history with 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a single season. And when he hit the historic home run just over the Dodgers’ bullpen at loanDepot Park in Miami, he sent a piece of baseball memorabilia and a lottery ticket into the leftfield stands.
That created a scrum, with one fan who will forever regret not bringing a glove to the game appearing to miss the ball by mere inches.
(MLB.com) Guards gush about ‘leader of men’ Vogt after thrilling walk-off clincher
After every victory, the player who had the best performance that day would be awarded with the belt by Hedges and his selected judging panel. It was a player award, and Vogt wanted to keep it that way. He wanted to set the precedent. He politely declined the belt and it wound up in David Fry’s locker.
The entire team knew it belonged to Vogt, but they didn’t force the issue. It was almost as if they knew it was inevitable the belt would find its way to him.
